Hellsweeper VR is a first-person combat game developed by Mixed Realms Pte Ltd under Vertigo Games. This game propels players into the depths of an evil underworld where they will be forced to battle with horrific foes, explore forbidding environments, and hone their skills over time.

In some ways, Hellsweeper VR can be compared to other combat-inspired VR games, such as Blade and Sorcery. This is primarily due to the variety of melee weapons and unique skill sets that players can equip. However, the mechanics themselves are fairly unique. In addition, it also supports single players, apart from cooperative gameplay.

Defying standard physics

Hellsweeper VR provides an even greater sense of VR immersion, thanks to its offering of an advanced locomotion system for fluid movement. As opposed to offering solely face-to-face combat, users can perform other actions. These include hovering above an opponent, fighting inverted, and using background elements to their advantage. Apart from that, they can also combine combat styles, cornering the opponent on all fours.

With its daring locomotion system, this game impels VR players to do their very best. Users can enjoy a full range of motion to freely engage in combat without restrictions. Although many of the enemies in the game are extremely formidable, players can deploy a host of powerful attacks. As this game also employs a random number generator (RNG), no two sessions will ever be alike when spawning demons. That said, however, the complexity and difficulty level may prove frustrating for casual or inexperienced VR players. The myriad weapons are overwhelming, especially when combined with the demanding movement system.
